Role Overview
This 12-month fixed-term position as a Senior Business Analyst involves collaborating closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts, project teams, and digital specialists to diagnose challenges, unveil opportunities, and generate value through technology and process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to act as a trusted consultant.
- Lead comprehensive business analysis activities from initial discovery through to solution delivery.
- Facilitate workshops, user design sessions, and stakeholder engagement events.
- Evaluate business processes to identify possibilities for improvement, automation, and innovation.
- Document and manage business requirements, user stories, and process maps effectively.
- Perform gap analyses, impact assessments, and cost-benefit evaluations.
- Draft business cases and strategic recommendations to assist decision-making.
- Assist with backlog prioritization, roadmap planning, and aligning deliveries.
- Leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools, to optimize work processes and delivery management.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and contribute to successful implementations.
- Act as a conduit between operational, project, and digital delivery teams.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Business Analysts, fostering skill development throughout the organisation.
- Promote continuous improvement and adherence to best practice business analysis methodologies.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is inherently inquisitive, analytical, and passionate about understanding operational dynamics. They thrive in facilitating discussions and translating complex issues into practical, actionable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of experience in business analysis, digital transformation, or process improvement.
- Expertise in gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
- Proficient in business process analysis and design, preferably with LEAN methodology experience.
- Strong skills in workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and product delivery frameworks.
- Experience supporting testing, training, and change management activities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Capability to influence decisions, challenge perspectives, and drive positive outcomes.
- Curiosity and practical knowledge in applying AI and emerging digital tools for productivity enhancement.
