Senior Business Analyst

About the Role

Thoughtworks is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to act as a crucial link between clients and software development teams. In this role, you will define software outcomes, assess user interaction, and collaborate with developers to create innovative custom applications. You will engage with clients across diverse sectors, ensuring that business-critical software solutions deliver tangible value.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to define and communicate a clear product vision for clients.
• Facilitate workshops to develop tailored business solutions.
• Assist companies from various industries in achieving distinct and impactful outcomes.
• Analyze the current state and work with clients to produce artifacts such as personas, epics, and stories to maximize value.
• Lead analysis workshops using "innovation games" with senior client stakeholders to establish a business vision, objectives, product roadmap, and release plan.
• Serve as the liaison between the client and the development team, which includes SMEs, C-suite executives, developers, quality analysts, tech architects, UX designers, and project managers, to manage product backlogs and oversee software delivery.
• Work with teammates on the analysis and design of complex business applications utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
• Participate in the Business Analyst community to share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and promote Agile, Lean, and Continuous Development analysis best practices.
• Contribute to agile teams that drive organizational transformations for medium to large-scale businesses.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in delivering impactful software, preferably within a collaborative software delivery environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail, a practical approach to story writing and delivery, and the ability to connect overarching client strategy to team outcomes.
• A proactive approach to identifying client pain points, validating business opportunities or problems, and partnering to implement solutions.
• Proficiency in Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery methodologies, with a passion for mentoring others.
• A solid understanding of business operations and experience in modeling business processes using various tools and techniques to support requirement elicitation.
• A strong enthusiasm for quality software and the ability to guide a project from concept to code.
• A talent for prioritization, securing stakeholder buy-in, and resolving conflicts effectively.
• Resilience and adaptability in ambiguous situations, with a passion for solving problems from both technical and business perspectives.
• An interest in coaching and sharing expertise with teammates.
