Job description

About the Role

Woden is looking for a Senior Brand Storyteller to join its creative team in Philadelphia. This position is designed for someone who enjoys turning complex value propositions into clear, persuasive narratives that help businesses connect with the right buyers.

The team uses the StoryKernel, a strategic narrative system that has already helped more than 300 brands sharpen their messaging and attract best-fit customers. In this role, you will work with clients to uncover their story through research, interviews, and collaborative strategy sessions, then help shape that story into messaging that performs across the buying journey.

This is an on-site role based in Philadelphia. Woden emphasizes in-person collaboration as essential to the kind of strategic and creative work the team delivers.

Woden has been operating for more than 10 years and is built around teamwork, internal growth, and mentorship. The Senior Brand Storyteller role also includes a potential path to Team Lead within six to nine months.

What You’ll Do

  • Research clients’ markets, industries, and competitors to inform the StoryKernel.
  • Set up and lead interviews with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners.
  • Develop narrative strategy, including the StoryKernel, Messaging Hierarchy, and messaging across the buyer journey.
  • Create go-to-market messaging, buyer personas, product messaging, and brand storytelling assets.
  • Partner closely with teammates as a strategist, collaborator, and trusted advisor.
  • Present work in client meetings and delivery sessions, both remotely and in person.
  • Take part in brainstorming sessions and project planning meetings.
  • Contribute to cross-functional internal initiatives.
  • Support the ongoing development of StoryEngine, Woden’s AI tool for storytelling.
  • Represent and model Woden’s core values in day-to-day work.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience after college.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and a genuine interest in crafting compelling narratives.
  • Excellent writing ability and comfort working in a creative environment.
  • Strong organization and the ability to work within established systems.
  • Experience presenting your work and explaining or defending your ideas.
  • Clear, proactive communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in team settings.
  • Self-motivation and a desire to keep learning and improving.
  • Confidence in contributing ideas early and helping build something meaningful.
  • Comfort working from an office each day and collaborating face to face.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role is $57,000, with incentive bonuses tied to client project reviews that can add up to $8,000 to $12,000 annually. A promotion path is expected in about six months.

  • Annual profit-sharing bonus
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Competitive health insurance options
  • Dental, vision, HSA, and commuter benefits
  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match
  • Snacks and Monday team lunch
  • Two office dogs, plus the option to bring your own dog
