Role Overview
This role offers a unique chance for an experienced marketing communications expert to influence and enhance the NZ Post brand, one of New Zealand's most iconic names. Located in Highbrook, Auckland with flexible work-from-home options, this position reports to the Brand and Marketing Communications Manager and serves as a senior leader within the marketing communications sphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead prominent brand, marketing, and customer communication projects that span multiple business areas.
- Provide senior leadership to ensure all marketing outputs align strategically with the organisation's vision and deliver measurable results.
- Support prioritisation and decision-making across critical initiatives, acting as a trusted deputy to the manager.
- Ensure the NZ Post brand is consistently represented through meaningful customer experiences and engaging communication approaches.
- Drive best practices, encourage innovation, and promote a collaborative, high-performing culture within the marketing team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing communications professional with strategic insight and commercial understanding. They know how to translate high-level strategies into actionable campaigns and communications that balance customer expectations, brand integrity, and business goals. Effective stakeholder management and the confidence to influence at all organisational levels are essential. The role demands creative thinking, strong project management, and leadership capabilities in dynamic environments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing communications, branding, or campaigning within a complex organisational context.
- Expertise in strategic planning and the ability to develop prioritised and actionable plans from strategy.
- Proven success managing significant campaigns, customer communications programmes, and cross-departmental projects.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and earn credibility across diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of media planning, creative development, and multi-channel integrated communications, with experience coordinating agency partnerships to deliver effective campaigns.
- A passion for brand enhancement, continual improvement, and teamwork to achieve optimal outcomes for both brand and business.
