Job description

The opportunity

This senior position calls for an experienced professional to take ownership of major and intricate valuation assignments, particularly for plant and infrastructure assets. It is a strong fit for someone with a background in asset-heavy settings such as manufacturing, local government, or audit, who wants to move into a specialist career in valuation and asset advisory. Experience in financial reporting, assurance, asset verification, controls, and sound professional judgement will translate well into the role, while you build deeper technical capability in plant and infrastructure valuation with support from a collaborative team focused on learning and growth.

You will help deliver valuation services for complex, multi-location asset portfolios across New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific. Working directly with clients, you will use your analytical ability, careful attention to detail, and experience with complex asset information to produce clear, robust, and defensible valuation results. You will also contribute to the continued development of the organisation’s asset advisory services, supporting clients across the full asset lifecycle.

The Valuation and Asset Advisory team has a strong reputation in the market, having been recognised with RICS Valuation Team of the Year in New Zealand in 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025, as well as the PINZ 2024 Professional Business of the Year. In this environment, you will join a specialist group delivering high-value valuation projects and strategic asset management advice to asset-intensive organisations.

As part of the Valuation and Asset Advisory business, you will deepen your expertise in plant and infrastructure valuation while working with professionals in asset management and decision support. This is a dynamic and rewarding position where professional services experience, client interaction skills, and commercial thinking are highly valued, with clear opportunities to progress within New Zealand and across the wider business.

About you

You are a high-performing professional with strong analytical thinking and experience in asset-intensive environments such as industrial, infrastructure, or public-sector portfolios. You may come from valuation, audit, or accounting, and you are comfortable handling complex asset datasets, financial reporting obligations, and professional judgement.

You enjoy a role that blends office-based analysis with regular site visits, allowing you to engage directly with assets and client teams to deliver well-supported outcomes. You value a small, close-knit environment where collaboration and learning are encouraged, and you bring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a drive for ongoing professional development in a thriving consulting setting.

What you can expect

  • Access to extensive professional development and training programmes
  • Shareholding opportunities
  • A supportive, caring workplace where you can be yourself
  • Flexible working arrangements to help balance personal and family commitments
  • Opportunities to learn from industry specialists and technical experts across the Asia-Pacific region
  • Wellbeing leave and volunteer leave
  • Enhanced parental leave, including up to 22 weeks of fully paid leave after the birth or placement of a child, for all genders
  • Discounted insurance options, including health, life, and income protection

The organisation promotes a diverse and inclusive culture and welcomes contributions from people of all genders, ethnicities, identities, perspectives, and experiences.
