Role Overview
HRZN is looking for a Senior Art Director in full-time employment for its Düsseldorf location. The role is centered on strong visual sensibility, brand understanding, and the ability to bring new as well as existing corporate identities and layouts to life. It also includes translating print and point-of-sale campaigns into social media content, and adapting digital ideas back into offline formats.
About the Team
The company describes itself as a group of more than 45 specialists who work with passion, analytical thinking, intuition, and a modern digital mindset. The team develops fresh communication ideas for clients from offices in Mannheim, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg, supporting industries such as retail and FMCG, eCommerce, automotive and mobility, industry, technology, life science, and healthcare.
What You Will Do
- Develop, design, and deliver screen layouts, print layouts, and digital content.
- Create a wide range of social media assets from concept through execution.
- Support national and international clients in day-to-day business and new business work.
- Conceptualize, further develop, and implement integrated campaigns across offline and online channels.
- Work closely with creative colleagues in graphics and video, account and consulting teams, social media managers, and developers.
- Create adaptations based on master designs prepared by the creative team.
- Independently produce different layout types according to print and digital specifications.

- A degree in graphic design, training as a media designer or art worker, or a comparable qualification.
- At least 8 to 10 years of professional experience.
- Strong digital fluency and a genuine interest in modern media.
- Solid craft skills, creativity, and a strong feel for demanding visual design and communication.
- High motivation, strong team spirit, commitment, and a hands-on attitude.
- Excellent sense for quality, aesthetics, usability, imagery, and design.
- Ideally, some initial experience in leading a team.
- Very strong German language skills, both spoken and written.
