Team and Responsibilities
The Revenue Analytics team plays a critical role bridging advertising sales, marketing, and client services. Their mission is to enhance monetization of ad inventory, drive revenue growth, and boost operational efficiency by leveraging strategic planning, thorough data analysis, and modern technical tools.
The Senior Analyst on this team focuses on utilizing internal and competitive data insights to support sustained growth for the ad sales organization, alongside streamlining operational processes. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Analytics and Insights, and operates on a hybrid schedule based in Boston, Massachusetts, working onsite Monday through Thursday with optional remote work Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Use existing sales reporting frameworks to derive actionable insights about key partners and market opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate closely with sales leadership to identify and track revenue-generating opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular business reviews such as quarterly business reviews to help guide strategic decisions.
- Manage routine operational tasks including weekly sales forecasting, planning cycles, quota management, and sales compensation processes.
- Advocate and design enhancements to reporting infrastructure to maintain cutting-edge analytical capabilities.
- Analyze advertising market segments and investment patterns by brand and formats, monitoring industry trends impacting advertisers and verticals.
- Utilize third-party data tools to support sales team requests and integrate these data streams into broader reporting initiatives.
- Partner across Revenue Operations and cross-functional teams on strategic projects related to advertising revenue and operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales or revenue operations, preferably with exposure to media or connected TV sectors.
- Practical experience collaborating with sales or go-to-market teams, supporting senior executives.
- Familiarity with the advertising industry landscape, specifically connected TV.
- Strong capability to analyze data and communicate insights through executive-level presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including scenario modeling and macros.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker, and practical usage of AI technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Deep knowledge of data structures, business metrics, and KPIs relevant to sales and revenue.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
- Adaptable in a fast-changing environment, demonstrating effective teamwork.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
- Understanding of sales terminology, metrics, and experience supporting multiple functional groups.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Work Environment and Compensation
This is a hybrid role located in Boston, with in-office presence required Monday to Thursday and optional remote work on Fridays. The estimated annual salary range for the position is $119,000 to $126,000, with compensation tailored based on experience, skill set, certification, and geography.
