Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to spearhead the development and enhancement of a comprehensive, organisation-wide information management framework at Tiaki Wai. This full-time role, based at our Petone Office with flexible work arrangements, is pivotal in fostering the successful adoption and continuous improvement of our new information management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the advancement of information management maturity and capabilities across Tiaki Wai by designing and maintaining robust processes and practices.
  • Champion best practices and foster positive information management behaviors throughout the organisation.
  • Support and train employees, understanding their information needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Lead delivery of core services and project initiatives alongside team members, offering guidance and coaching.
  • Provide expert advice on information management to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and successful project outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent substantial experience in information or records management.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in information management, including expertise in records management, and standards and process development.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint Online and understanding of contemporary information management frameworks, intranets, taxonomy, and related practices and technologies.
  • Experience training, coaching, and mentoring staff across various teams.
  • Strong communication skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to adapt to change, manage risk, and promote continuous improvement.

Tiaki Wai, a council-owned entity, manages essential water services—drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater—across the Hutt Valley, Porirua, and Wellington regions. Team Environment

You will join the Digital Products and Services team, which focuses on developing digital tools and services, supported by the Data, Information & Analytics team that champions quality data and information management across the organisation.

Additional Information

This senior role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. The annual salary ranges from NZD 101125 to 142765 inclusive of KiwiSaver, dependent on skills and experience. Candidates must be legally entitled to work long-term in New Zealand or eligible for a working visa. Employment in safety-sensitive positions will require drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement.
