Job description
Position Overview
The Senior Analyst in AI Business & Transformation acts as a vital link between corporate stakeholders and the AI engineering team focused on organizational transformation. This role specializes in pinpointing automation opportunities that add measurable value, translating business challenges into precise engineering directives, and crafting executive-level reports that illustrate the benefits and returns on investment generated by AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with business unit leaders and operational teams to identify manual workflows, inefficiencies, and viable automation projects with quantifiable impacts.
- Convert business needs into clear engineering requirements detailing agent scope, data inputs/outputs, success metrics, edge cases, and security aspects.
- Use AI technologies (such as Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and other large language models) regularly for drafting executive summaries, business cases, use case documentation, ROI evaluations, and presentations for top leadership.
- Manage the pipeline of AI use cases by prioritizing projects based on their business value and technical feasibility, tracking progress from ideation to deployment, and updating stakeholders consistently.
- Act as the primary liaison for business units requesting AI transformation assistance, evaluating inquiries, managing expectations, and coordinating the engagement with external partners.
- Create and maintain standardized templates for use case intake, requirement specs, agent documentation, and executive reporting to streamline the team's operations.
- Collaborate with AI governance teams to ensure that all projects comply with organizational AI policies, data privacy rules, responsible AI guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and sustain relationships across business units, IT, and leadership to align strategies and eliminate communication barriers that could delay project progress.
- Monitor and validate the outcomes delivered by AI implementations and automation efforts to ensure targeted ROI is achieved.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI capabilities, leading industry use cases, and best practices to proactively identify new transformation opportunities.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Operations, or a related discipline; advanced education is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates should have over three years of professional experience in business analysis, management consulting, operations analysis, project management, or closely related roles involving extensive cross-functional collaboration and working with IT or technology teams. Demonstrated daily, practical use of AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) is strongly preferred and may compensate for traditional experience requirements for exceptional applicants.
- Proficiency using AI tools for creating high-quality professional documents, analytical reports, and executive presentations.
- Excellent writing skills capable of translating intricate technical and operational ideas into concise, persuasive executive communications.
- Ability to analyze processes and document workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and defining desired future states.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level platforms like ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, or ERP systems at the user level, enabling understanding of integration points and data flow.
- Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts including large language models, autonomous agents, automation, and data pipelines to confidently engage with engineers and senior leaders.
- Understanding AI security, data privacy, access control, appropriate usage policies, and organizational governance related to AI.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and leadership skills to effectively conduct discovery sessions for both technical and non-technical groups.
- Organized multitasker capable of managing multiple projects across diverse teams and maturity levels.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working within a dynamic, fast-evolving environment where processes and playbooks are being developed in real time.
- Demonstrates genuine intellectual interest in AI and automation through personal use, self-directed learning, or previous work experience integrating AI tools.
Preferred Certifications
- Certifications such as PMP, CBAP, or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are beneficial.
- Microsoft AI Fundamentals (AI-900) or equivalent AI literacy certifications are desirable and supported by the employer.
- A passion for ongoing AI education is essential.
