Senior Airport Emergency Officer (August 2026 Intake)

Role overview

In this position, you will be part of a specialized airport emergency response team whose purpose is to protect lives and reduce damage to property during emergencies. The work centers on aviation firefighting, rescue response, and rapid action during aircraft-related incidents.

You will supervise a team of firefighters, take charge of command and control at aircraft accident or incident locations, and help coordinate the response of several agencies when a crisis occurs. In normal operations, you will also help shape your unit’s direction and support the growth and training of your team members.

Training pathway

• A 3-month Basic Airport Fire Fighter programme will be provided to build core firefighting knowledge and the practical methods needed to respond to aircraft incidents in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
• This is followed by a 1-month Airport Fire Officer course to strengthen leadership for small-team tactical situations.
• You will then complete a 1-month Senior Airport Fire Officer course focused on incident-management leadership.
• After training, you will be posted to an airport fire station to apply your skills in live operations.
• As part of station rotation, you may also be deployed to other airport fire stations or military airbases to broaden your exposure and experience.

Candidate profile

We are looking for people who are genuinely interested in rescue work, are physically capable of handling demanding operational duties, and can remain determined and resilient under pressure. Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities are also important.

Applicants should hold a degree in any field from a reputable university.
