Job description
Role overview
As an Airport Emergency Officer, your main responsibility is to protect lives and reduce damage to property during emergencies. This role places you at the center of aviation firefighting and rescue operations, where you will be part of a specialist team responding to incidents that require fast, skilled action.
You will operate advanced fire vehicles, vessels, and other dedicated firefighting equipment used in airport emergency response work.
Training and deployment
Before taking on the role independently, you will undergo a structured 3-month Basic Airport Fire Fighter training programme. The training will build your understanding of firefighting fundamentals and prepare you to handle aircraft-related incidents and accidents in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
After training, you will be posted to an airport fire station to begin hands-on operational work. As part of the job rotation, you may also be assigned to other airport fire stations or military airbases, giving you exposure to different environments and responsibilities.
Who this role suits
This opportunity is suited to individuals who are genuinely interested in rescue work, can cope with physically demanding duties, and show strong determination and resilience when facing difficult situations.
Eligibility
Applicants should have at least GCE N Level or O Level passes, or an NITEC qualification.
