Role Overview
In the role of Senior AI Governance Specialist within our Data & AI Governance team, you will play a vital role in defining and enforcing governance strategies for AI systems throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes intake, risk assessment, post-deployment oversight, and continuous improvement. You will engage with strategic priorities such as managing governance of self-service Data & AI offerings and handling agentic AI scenarios, focusing on responsible innovation, risk mitigation, and effective implementation across the organization.
Technical Environment
You will operate in a state-of-the-art Data & AI environment, where familiarity with the Databricks platform and Microsoft's Azure ecosystem is advantageous. Programming skills are beneficial when working with large-scale Data & AI Platform interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable AI governance platform capabilities, including enabling self-service workflows, reusable templates, risk categorization, policy-driven controls, and actionable guidance for teams.
- Establish governance protocols for agentic AI applications, covering aspects like human oversight, access control, system monitoring, audit trails, and escalation procedures.
- Collaborate actively with data scientists, AI engineers, IT compliance personnel, and various business stakeholders to embed practical, scalable governance in routine operations.
- Interpret and translate laws, regulatory standards, and internal policies—most notably the EU AI Act—into accessible governance frameworks usable by teams with confidence.
- Enhance AI risk management methods by guiding stakeholders through complex decision-making, recognizing opportunities for improvement, and leveraging automation to streamline audit documentation.
Candidate Profile
- Possess multiple years of direct experience in AI governance, risk management, or compliance, preferably within sophisticated data-centric environments. Hands-on expertise in agentic AI governance is particularly valuable.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of AI technologies along with relevant governance structures, legal requirements, and standards including the EU AI Act.
- Excels at simplifying intricate subjects into clear, actionable guidance and comfortably interacts with technical teams, compliance departments, and business units.
- Approaches challenges strategically with a commitment to developing processes that evolve and improve steadily over time.
