Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Graduate FP&A Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Cost Controlling department. This role presents a valuable starting point for recent graduates eager to develop a career in financial analysis within a dynamic international environment. The position entails supporting financial planning, reporting, and performance evaluation across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Contribute to the monthly reporting cycle by generating financial analyses, performance reports, and presentations to management.
- Analyze actual figures versus budgets and forecasts, pinpointing variances and investigating underlying business factors.
- Support ad hoc financial evaluations, business case developments, and scenario assessments that inform decision-making.
- Help with the month-end closing activities by compiling reports, verifying financial data, and ensuring timely delivery of insights.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting and Business Controlling teams to maintain data integrity.
- Participate in enhancing recurring financial reports and key performance indicator dashboards.
- Drive automation and standardization efforts for reporting, planning, and forecasting using modern financial tools.
- Explore and apply AI-driven technologies to boost reporting efficiency and facilitate insightful decision support.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and increase FP&A efficiency.
- Assist in deploying new FP&A software, reporting frameworks, and digital finance solutions.
- Contribute innovative ideas to build a modern, data-centric finance function.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
- Strong analytical capability, with enthusiasm for financial planning, business performance metrics, data analysis, and digital finance tools.
- Exceptional numerical skills and accuracy with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel techniques; familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, and SQL is essential.
- Knowledge or experience with Python programming and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT is advantageous.
- Keen interest in leveraging AI and automation to enhance finance workflows and processes.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a beneficial plus.
