Overview

Metricon Homes, Australia's leading home builder, seeks a Senior Agile & Technical Business Analyst to bridge business goals, customer outcomes, and technology solutions. This senior role involves leading discovery and analysis phases, ensuring solution readiness aligned with Metricon's strategic ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops to capture stakeholder requirements and ensure a mutual understanding of desired deliverables.
• Prioritize user stories, verify acceptance criteria, and assure comprehensive coverage of business rules for execution readiness.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration within delivery teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify new projects and opportunities for operational enhancements.
• Utilize continuous improvement frameworks to enhance outcome quality and work efficiency.
• Manage complex discussions and negotiations with varied stakeholders within agreed deadlines.
• Adapt flexibly to achieve multiple objectives despite limited resources and tight schedules, balancing project dependencies and priorities.
• Implement appropriate systems and processes to support high-quality analysis and outputs.
• Lead change initiatives by assessing systems, identifying tools for problem analysis, and applying system archetypes within the broader business context.
• Deliver measurable business results by critically evaluating problems from diverse perspectives and fostering effective solutions.
• Provide constructive feedback to reinforce team strengths and achieve goals.
• Support organizational change by communicating rationale, clarifying misconceptions, and seeking clarity when ambiguities arise.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 7 years in roles such as Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Agile Business Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst within complex technology settings.
• Proven track record delivering CRM, ERP, operational platforms, digital, integrations, data/reporting, or enterprise applications projects.
• Expertise in requirements gathering, process and story mapping, backlog maintenance, crafting user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Capacity to convert business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications suitable for architecture, development, testing, vendor management, and support.
• Experience collaborating with Agile teams, including Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT, release preparedness, and post-launch reviews.
• Strong understanding of APIs, data flows, system configurations, non-functional requirements, environments, and defect management.
• Ability to work effectively with Architects, Developers, Testers, Support teams, vendors, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, assess delivery risks, and handle cross-team dependencies.
• Skilled in producing clear documentation, decision papers, process diagrams, technical handover documents, and training/support materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CBAP, Agile, Scrum, Product Owner, or BABOK.
• Experience in residential construction, property, customer portals, sales, operations, finance, or field/service platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure DevOps, Power BI, SQL, APIs, integration platforms, or enterprise workflow systems.
• Background with vendor platforms, COTS configurations, SaaS deployments, or enterprise application support transitions.
• Knowledge of ITIL, change management, and service transition processes.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Lucid, Miro, and Figma.
