Job Summary

The Senior Advisor for Issuer Services and Investor Relations is tasked with establishing and leading a new specialized unit within QSE that aims to elevate the quality of issuer services and investor relations across Qatar's capital market. This position requires foundational development of the unit's operating procedures, service offerings, governance framework, staffing, and business positioning. The successful candidate will become the top authority on disclosure standards, shareholder communications, investor targeting, and sustainability reporting, working closely with senior leaders of listed companies to improve engagement standards between issuers and investors both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and direct the Issuer Services and Investor Relations unit, including its operational framework, service catalog, governance policies, and commercial approach.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-achieving team by defining clear priorities, performance benchmarks, and outcomes.
• Develop and implement market education initiatives, including executive briefings, training sessions, and actionable guidance on investor relations, disclosures, governance, and sustainability practices.
• Offer strategic advice to listed and potential issuers regarding investor relations strategies, shareholder engagement, disclosure standards, sustainability reporting, and investor targeting methods.
• Forge and sustain strong connections with senior corporate executives, institutional investors, analysts, and other vital stakeholders in the capital market.
• Lead efforts that improve market quality, liquidity, investor research, accessibility, and the overall appeal of Qatar's capital markets.
• Represent QSE at various industry gatherings, investor roadshows, and forums, collaborating with regulators and internal departments to uphold compliance and governance.
• Keep abreast of market developments, compare issuer practices, and recommend strategic enhancements to raise investor relations standards nationwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications such as a Master's degree or CFA are preferred.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in investor relations, equity capital markets, investment banking, listed companies, or a capital markets-related field.
• Proven leadership experience in team development and creation of new business functions or units.
• Expertise in corporate disclosure, governance, investor relations, and regulatory frameworks governing capital markets.
• Experience delivering senior executive training, educational programs, and managing stakeholder engagement.
• Well-established network comprising institutional investors, analysts, and top corporate executives.
• Background in working with stock exchanges, listed companies, investment banks, or investor relations consultancy is highly valued.
• Knowledge of GCC/MENA capital markets and sustainability reporting frameworks is a significant advantage.
