Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accounting & Finance Manager to lead the accounting and finance operations for our US-based technology consulting company with international presence. This is a leadership position involving direct reporting to the CEO and entails ownership of financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, treasury, compliance, and internal controls. The role offers a chance to influence strategic decision-making and improve financial processes within a multi-entity organization, with potential progression to CFO based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting and finance functions for a US technology consulting firm with global operations.
  • Manage the monthly and annual financial close procedures.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with US GAAP standards.
  • Supervise all accounting operations, including banking, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, invoicing, treasury, and cash management.
  • Handle multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements in consultation with the company's CPA.
  • Lead and coordinate external audits and collaboration with auditors and advisors.
  • Develop and enhance internal controls and financial processes to safeguard accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive accounting system implementations, automation projects, and continual process improvements.
  • Collaborate with CEO and leadership for financial analysis, risk evaluation, and strategic business decisions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in accounting roles such as Senior Accounting Manager, Controller, or Assistant Controller.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA certification or an equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with US-based companies in technology, IT consulting, professional services, or SaaS domains.
  • Proven track record in managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Competency in preparing and evaluating financial statements.
  • Experience overseeing external audits and collaborating with auditors.
  • Understanding of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems, notably QuickBooks Online; knowledge of Xero is a plus, along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to take initiative, work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a fully remote, international work culture.

Work Environment and Benefits

  • This is a fully remote, contract-based position.
  • The role offers significant autonomy and ownership.
  • Opportunity for direct interaction with executive leadership and influence over business strategy.
  • Engagement with a collaborative, diverse international team.
  • Chance to make a substantial impact within a growing global technology consulting organization.
