About the role
ABC Cargo & Courier, a respected logistics and courier brand in the UAE, is looking for a Senior Accountant to help manage and improve its finance operations in Dubai. The company has 4 openings, and candidates who can join right away will be preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee everyday accounting activities, including posting journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
- Draft precise financial statements and management-level reports.
- Manage payables, receivables, and bank reconciliation work.
- Ensure accounting practices remain aligned with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax rules.
- Assist with internal and external audits, along with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Keep financial records organized and updated through accounting software.
Qualifications
- A postgraduate commerce qualification such as M.Com or above is preferred.
- Applicants should have 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE and be available for immediate joining.
- Good working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance is required.
- Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools is expected.
- Background in financial reporting, reconciliation work, and audit assistance is important.
- Strong precision, attention to detail, and the ability to meet reporting timelines are necessary.
