Role overview

A respected partner-led accountancy firm in Dublin is hiring a Senior Accountant to strengthen its expanding team. This position offers exposure to high-profile clients, a healthy balance between work and personal life, and a clear route for accelerated progression. The firm indicates that promotion could follow after 12 months, with advancement opportunities continuing through Director level and ultimately to Partner.

Key responsibilities

  • Look after a portfolio of clients and maintain strong, professional relationships with them.
  • Handle a varied workload covering audit, accounts preparation, corporate tax, personal tax, and advisory assignments.
  • Deliver accurate, high-standard advice and client service that aligns with firm procedures and best practice.
  • Support and oversee junior colleagues, helping with their learning and development when needed.
  • Work closely with partners and directors to create practical, client-centred solutions.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Practice-trained accountant with at least 2 years of Irish experience; candidates with 0 to 5 years PQE will be considered.
  • Demonstrated background in audit, accounts preparation, and taxation.
  • Competence using relevant accounting and tax software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, people skills, and organisational ability.
  • Proven ability to juggle several priorities and meet deadlines reliably.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary between €58,000 and €68,000, depending on experience.
  • Employer pension contribution of up to 5%.
  • Annual bonus.
