Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Ayoub & Co is hiring a Senior Accountant for its Dubai real estate brokerage team. This is a full-time, on-site position with compensation that will be aligned to the candidate’s experience. The role calls for someone highly accurate, self-driven, and capable of managing accounting work end to end in a fast-moving brokerage environment.

The selected professional will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities, preparing financial reports, handling tax filings, and ensuring adherence to UAE VAT, corporate tax, and AML requirements. Strong expertise in QuickBooks and a solid grasp of real estate transaction accounting are essential.

Core Duties

• Manage complete bookkeeping processes and record daily accounting entries across several accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and client-ledger balances, including monthly bank reconciliation work.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Draft and submit VAT returns through the FTA portal, including reconciliation of input and output VAT, while keeping tax deadlines in view.
• Support compliance with UAE AML requirements for real estate operations and maintain the necessary supporting records.
• Record commissions related to sales, leasing, and referral transactions, and process commission payments.
• Run the monthly payroll cycle in line with WPS requirements and maintain leave accrual and payroll documentation.
• Monitor cheques, post-dated instruments, and receivables from tenants and buyers.
• Track project-related income and cost allocations, and work with operations on unit handovers, payment plans, and developer settlements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and keep files organized and ready for audit reviews.
• Ensure client invoicing is accurate, collections are followed up on time, and budget and cash-flow forecasts are supported.
• Work within established accounting routines, closing timelines, and reporting schedules while coordinating with CRM and admin teams to keep records aligned with transactions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in Dubai real estate.
• Strong command of QuickBooks, both Online and Desktop versions, along with advanced use of Excel and Google Sheets.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT rules, corporate tax submission, FTA portal processes, and AML obligations.
• Knowledge of RERA forms, commission handling, and brokerage accounting workflows.
• Experience preparing financial reports and management information reports for leadership teams.
• Ability to independently manage multiple entities, transactions, deadlines, and sensitive information.
• Professional, well-groomed, organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or CA qualification will be an advantage.
