Role Overview

The position of Senior Accountant in Financial Reporting & Taxation reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Taxation. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting records for investment funds and development properties, managing cash flows, preparing investor distributions, and supporting financial statement preparation and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Record month-end adjusting and capital entries related to investment funds and development properties.
• Track cash flow activities and prepare payments for investors and other parties.
• Support invoice coding to the appropriate fund and general ledger accounts.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare year-end audit and tax working papers within deadlines.
• Compile monthly reports for external parties.
• Coordinate with management and third-party financial data providers.
• Handle ad-hoc projects related to internal and external reporting.
• Assist with other departmental functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Exposure to investment companies and real estate sectors is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Motivated and capable of meeting deadlines while collaborating effectively.
• Sound business judgment with the capacity to handle multiple tasks independently.
• Proactive and able to work without needing constant guidance.
• Familiarity with Yardi software preferred.
