Senior Accountant

Overview

OMNILOG is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing a variety of accounting functions within the freight forwarding domain to ensure accurate financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and handle financial transactions including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries ensuring data accuracy.
• Prepare and validate client invoices, track unpaid invoices, and work across departments to resolve billing issues.
• Support the creation of financial statements such as profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, providing financial reports to aid decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze costs related to freight forwarding operations and contribute to cost control initiatives.
• Conduct regular bank statement reconciliations, investigating and addressing any accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the freight forwarding sector, keeping updated on legislative changes.
• Organize and preserve comprehensive financial records, preparing necessary documentation to facilitate audits.
• Collaborate effectively with departments including operations and sales to gather required financial information and address accounting matters.
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
• Minimum of two years’ accounting experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory frameworks.
• Competence in accounting software and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal capabilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
