Job description
Role Overview
This is a senior account leadership position where you will fully own client relationships, coordinate the specialist delivery team, and make sure all work is completed to a high standard, invoiced correctly, and reviewed consistently. The specialists on the team are focused on execution, while your role is to manage the overall client relationship, ensure the right priorities are set, and keep delivery on track.
You will oversee a high-value portfolio that includes B2B RevOps retainers, government and not-for-profit accounts, and longer-term brand clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact and accountable relationship owner for a portfolio of senior accounts, handling client communications directly and serving as the lead point of coordination.
- Run client touchpoints such as regular status meetings, performance reviews, and quarterly strategy sessions, including agenda setting, presentation of commercial outcomes, and clear action tracking.
- Convert client priorities into clear Teamwork tasks with defined scope, ownership, and deadlines, while following up on work, managing capacity, and flagging risks early.
- Review all outgoing materials such as reports, decks, strategic plans, and creative work to ensure they meet quality expectations before being sent to the client.
- Work with the Finance Lead to confirm billing accuracy, ensure delivered work is matched to invoicing, and keep an eye on project profitability.
- Spot opportunities to expand accounts, support retention, and drive growth within the existing client base.
Requirements
- Strong background in client-facing account management or project management within a digital marketing or growth agency; in-house project management experience will not be suitable for this position.
- Practical experience using project management platforms such as Teamwork, Asana, ClickUp, or similar tools.
- Confidence in leading demanding client conversations, presenting performance information, and handling issues such as scope changes, missed deadlines, or underperformance.
- Working knowledge of paid media, email marketing, SEO, and web development sufficient to brief, scope, and identify delivery risks.
- Experience collaborating with remote specialist teams across time zones, including teams based in the Philippines.
- Strong interpersonal awareness and the ability to quickly sense client sentiment or team capacity challenges.
- Comfort with AI tools and modern technology as part of everyday delivery and operations workflows.
- Strong ownership mindset with focus on KPIs such as retention, NPS, upsell revenue, and project margins.
- Excellent written and spoken English with strong attention to detail.
- Bonus experience: work in a B2B or performance growth agency, familiarity with HubSpot, Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, and GA4, and prior management of Australian Government or not-for-profit accounts.
Additional Information
This role is built for someone who enjoys commercial accountability, structured client leadership, and working closely with specialist teams to keep delivery high-quality and on schedule. Success in the role is tied to maintaining long-term client trust, supporting strong retention, and driving commercial growth across the portfolio.
