Role Summary
Two permanent, full-time Security Officers are being recruited to join the Security Team. The team delivers 24-hour protection for the venue, including patrols, asset protection and maintaining a safe environment for visitors, employees and contractors.
Successful candidates will work on a rotating roster. Hours vary and can include both day and night shifts on any day of the week, including weekends.
Key Duties
- Conduct internal and external patrols to help prevent loss, damage and theft.
- Operate the control room and keep watch over CCTV systems.
- Respond to fire and intruder alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Manage access for contractors and issue daily access passes while checking identification.
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out movements.
- Escort cash when required.
- Carry out end-of-day clearing tasks.
- Perform bag searches when needed.
- Log daily reports and record incidents accurately.
- Report maintenance issues affecting the facility.
- Take an active role in incident response and emergency procedures.
- Provide first aid support where necessary.
- Work in line with the organisation’s customer care approach.
- Support health and safety objectives and comply with policies, procedures and protocols.
- Undertake additional duties requested by the Head of Security.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will hold an active Static Guarding PSA licence. A DSP licence and First Aid qualification are preferred but not essential. Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills are also important.
