Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Security Officer to oversee gatehouse management and control site access, maintaining a safe environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries. This role acts as a crucial contact point on site, necessitating strong security knowledge paired with excellent customer service. You will ensure that all entry protocols and security measures are consistently enforced.

The position operates on a rotating roster: four consecutive 12-hour day shifts, followed by four days off, then four 12-hour night shifts, followed by four days off. The role is classified at Level 2 of the Security Services Industry Award and includes applicable penalty rates and allowances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gatehouse operations and manage site entry control.
• Authenticate and process access for contractors, visitors, couriers, and trucks.
• Operate and monitor security and CCTV equipment continuously.
• Maintain precise records, reports, spreadsheets, and all site documentation.
• Conduct security inspections and respond promptly to security incidents.
• Ensure strict compliance with security policies and site access rules.
• Foster positive relationships with various stakeholders while exhibiting a professional security presence.
• Advocate for a robust safety culture and support compliance initiatives throughout the site.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in security, gatehouse operations, or access control environments.
• Exceptional customer service skills paired with clear communication abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
• Proficiency in data entry, reporting, and Microsoft Office suites.
• Knowledge of CCTV and security system operations.
• Possession of a current Security Licence and First Aid Certificate.
• Australian citizenship or unrestricted Australian work rights.
• Able to pass mandatory pre-employment medical evaluations, police clearance, and reference checks.
• Willingness and flexibility to work on a rotating roster of 12-hour day and night shifts.
