Role overview
Hyatt Place AlUla is preparing for its opening, and the hotel is seeking a committed Security Officer to help create and maintain a safe environment for everyone on site. The property is a major addition to Hyatt’s footprint in the region and will include 215 guestrooms, two food and beverage venues, meeting facilities, a swimming pool, and a fitness center that will serve both leisure and business guests.
What this role is responsible for
In this position, you will safeguard guests, colleagues, visitors, and hotel property by actively monitoring security activity and reacting quickly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and concerns.
- Conduct regular patrols across the hotel and keep watch over all areas to uphold safety and security standards.
- Manage entry control and confirm the identity of visitors, contractors, and suppliers when needed.
- Observe CCTV feeds, alarms, and other surveillance tools to identify unusual activity.
- Act swiftly when security issues, emergencies, accidents, or guest-related concerns arise.
- Record incidents accurately and maintain clear security logs and documentation.
- Assist with emergency response actions, including evacuation planning and fire safety procedures.
- Help investigate security incidents and share findings with management.
- Follow hotel security policies, safety rules, and all applicable local regulations.
- Help protect hotel assets, property, guests, and team members from risk.
- Contribute to pre-opening security setup and readiness activities.
What the hotel is looking for
The ideal candidate should already have experience in a security position, preferably in a hotel or wider hospitality setting. A solid understanding of security processes, emergency handling, and general safety practices is important. You should be able to stay composed and professional in urgent situations, and bring strong awareness, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving ability. The role also calls for good physical stamina, as regular patrolling may be required for long periods. Integrity, professionalism, close attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Excellent English communication skills are required.
