Role Overview
The Security Delivery Consultant will act as an Incident Response Specialist based in Riyadh. The role demands managing day-to-day security operations, performing root cause analyses, and resolving complex security incidents at Level 3. The consultant will develop internal procedural standards, collaborate across teams, and produce comprehensive security incident reports. Responding promptly to security incidents and conducting thorough post-incident analyses using incident response (IR) tools and solutions is critical.
Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause investigations and address underlying issues.
- Oversee and guide daily security operations effectively.
- Identify and resolve sophisticated problems within assigned domains.
- Handle and resolve Level 3 security incidents and requests.
- Develop and update internal procedures supporting security operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams and other departments as needed.
- Generate and maintain detailed reports on security incidents.
- Provide device performance metrics when necessary.
- React promptly to security incidents and deliver post-event assessments.
- Utilize IR tools for detection, investigation, and response; analyze security events; and advise team members accordingly.
- Communicate technical and strategic cybersecurity issues clearly to diverse audiences.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in security monitoring and incident response.
- Proficiency in Microfocus ArcSight SIEM and implementation of multiple SIEM solutions.
- Hands-on experience with incident response tools addressing detection, investigation, and mitigation.
- Strong capabilities in exploit and detection analysis, including log analysis for recognizing meaningful patterns.
- Expertise in data manipulation and presentation.
- Solid understanding of incident and problem management methodologies.
- Familiarity with various security frameworks and best practices.
- Practical knowledge of incident response phases and SOC (Security Operations Center) procedures.
- Certifications such as GIAC GCIH, GPEN, or equivalent are preferred.
