Role Summary
As a Security Analyst at PointClickCare, you will develop and execute protective measures to secure our network, endpoints, cloud platforms, data centers, and SaaS environments. Your role will enhance our security operations and cyber defense capabilities through automation and AI tool utilization. You will lead projects and manage security tools to strengthen our overall security posture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for daily monitoring, assessment, and reporting of security incidents using the SIEM platform.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of security infrastructure such as SIEM, antivirus, data loss prevention (DLP), privileged access management (PAM), and identity access management (IAM).
- Conduct targeted Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) on infrastructure, cloud solutions, and systems, collaborating cross-functionally to address vulnerabilities.
- Independently and collaboratively pursue automation of workflows using AI tools, automation frameworks, and workflow management solutions.
- Apply strong understanding of networking protocols, firewall management, access controls, and virtualized network security solutions.
- Maintain working knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Apple OS environments.
- Support the Vulnerability Management program by running scans and coordinating remediation with SaaS Operations and Corporate Technology teams.
- Evaluate security tools and processes, recommending improvements under guidance of the Director of Security Operations.
- Fine-tune alert systems to minimize false positives and actively participate in Incident Response and security investigations.
- Work closely with business units to establish a proactive and company-wide security culture.
- Lead security-related projects and initiatives to elevate the company’s security infrastructure.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Comfortable integrating agentic AI systems in daily security operations, including validating AI-driven alerts and autonomous responses.
- Basic knowledge of large language models, including prompt design and critical analysis of outputs.
- Ability to author simple scripts or playbooks in formats such as YAML, JSON, or domain-specific languages to extend AI security platforms.
- Experience with integration frameworks like Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect AI agents with security tools (e.g., SIEM, ticketing, threat intelligence, EDR).
- Familiarity with security automation concepts, APIs, and lightweight scripting languages like Python for tool integration and data transformation.
- Sound judgment to identify irregular AI agent behavior and escalate issues appropriately.
- Participation in regular security audits and collaboration with multiple teams to remediate identified infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, vulnerabilities, encryption, and best practices.
- Experience managing Windows, Linux OS variants, PowerShell, Bash/Shell scripting, and Python development.
- Ability to work independently while proactively advancing security policies and processes.
Work Arrangement and Location Expectations
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel to the Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding, team events, and meetings will be required.

Compensation Details
The annual salary for this role in Canada ranges from 72000 to 80000 CAD, plus a 10% bonus and benefits. The position is eligible for overtime.
