Securities & Derivatives Analyst

Role Overview

This intermediate-level position sits within Transaction Services and focuses on handling orders and transactions coming from trading desks and branch teams. The main purpose of the role is to support the clearing, settlement, and investigation of client activity in securities and derivatives.

What You’ll Do

• Handle securities transactions, support traders with analytical input, and assist in reviewing derivative products.
• Investigate and resolve settlement issues tied to securities and derivatives, while recommending ways to improve processes.
• Review moderately complex reports to meet management needs, support control tasks, and help introduce new products and services.
• Track errors and propose fixes to reduce risk to the bank, using a solid working knowledge of operating procedures.
• Escalate processing problems to the right teams and work with them to reach a resolution.
• Prepare and analyze moderately complex reports in line with direction from leadership.
• Support control-related activities and the rollout of new offerings and services.
• Follow audit requirements and internal control standards in day-to-day work.
• Exercise sound risk judgment, protect the firm’s reputation, uphold laws and policies, and raise control concerns with transparency and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage several tasks or projects at once in a high-risk setting.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
• Practical experience with macros.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or university degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent background/experience.
