Role Overview

We are hiring a Securities & Derivatives Senior Analyst for a contract assignment in Tampa, Florida with an innovative global bank. The assignment is expected to run for 5 months and carries a strong chance of being extended or converted to a permanent role. The position is onsite, with work required in the office 2 to 3 days each week.

You will be part of a highly respected international banking organization with more than 200 years of continuous evolution in financial services. Contract Details

Contract length: 5 months.

Work arrangement: Onsite 2 to 3 days per week in Tampa, FL.

Required Experience

  • Undergraduate degree is required.
  • Background in development projects is preferred.
  • Experience in financial accounting and/or banking products is needed.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical business partners and managers.
  • Direct exposure to trade corrections, trade recalls, return processing, and contract comparison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle orders and transactions coming from trading desks and branch locations in coordination with the Operations Transaction Services team.
  • Support the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives activity.
  • Perform account reconciliation within the Securities & Derivatives function.
  • Act as an analytical and procedural resource for securities processing deliverables and initiatives.
  • Reduce operational risk by tracking errors, recommending fixes, and helping maintain audit and control compliance.
  • Review processes and data to confirm settlement tasks are completed accurately and at a high quality.
  • Assist the Securities Finance Trading Desk with trade corrections, trade recalls, return processing, and contract comparison.
  • Support cash investment processing for money market funds, time deposits, repo transactions, and mutual funds.
  • Help identify policy gaps and contribute to creating better policies and streamlined workflows.
  • Provide informal coaching and on-the-job support to junior or new team members when needed.
