Role overview

We are hiring a Finance Executive focused on reconciliations to support insurer account matching, commission tracking, month-end close tasks, and reliable financial reporting. The position requires strong control awareness and careful handling of records to meet internal governance and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out quarterly reconciliation exercises between the company’s records and insurer ledgers, making sure balances are matched accurately and closed within the required timeframe.
  • Follow up on unbilled items, missing DP entries, and unapplied transactions by working with both internal teams and insurer contacts.
  • Monitor commission receivables and drive timely follow-up to keep collections aligned with agreed payment schedules.
  • Spot delays, mismatches, and any unapproved corrections, then escalate these matters to management and the relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure correct posting, allocation, and clearing of financial items such as DP’s, RB’s, JV’s, and PV’s.
  • Keep reconciliation trackers, statements of account records, and backup documents current for audit readiness and review.
  • Coordinate with insurers and internal departments to clarify statements, validate ledger balances, and resolve open issues.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, file upkeep, and proper storage of financial documents in shared systems/DMS.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Prior experience in reconciliations, credit control, or insurance finance is preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Capability to juggle several deadlines while working in a structured, process-oriented environment.
