Finance Executive - Credit Control

Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and meticulous Finance Executive specializing in Credit Control to strengthen the finance team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on collections, cash posting, reconciliations, and managing relationships with key stakeholders to keep receivables healthy and financial processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and apply customer payments, deposits, and receipts accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Track overdue balances across Motor, Non-Motor, and Medical portfolios and follow up to support timely recovery.
• Keep collection logs, account statements, and financial records up to date, and share regular progress reports with management.
• Communicate with insurers, customers, and agents on payments, reconciliations, suspension or cancellation notices, and outstanding dues.
• Carry out regular reconciliations between company, insurer, customer, and agent accounts, resolving mismatches and inaccuracies.
• Handle escalations and work with internal teams to close operational and financial issues efficiently.
• Contribute ideas to improve credit control workflows and collection effectiveness.
• Guide and support new joiners while encouraging knowledge exchange and continuous team improvement.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Credit Control, Collections, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance position, ideally within insurance broking or the insurance sector in the UAE.
• Strong analytical ability, with solid reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders professionally.
