Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all guidelines in the Atlantis Dubai Dive Operations Manual.
• Care for and maintain aquatic exhibits, lagoons, and pools both above and underwater.
• Ensure scuba equipment remains in excellent working condition and report any malfunctions promptly to supervisors.
• Conduct dive training sessions for colleagues when needed.
• Log and maintain records for all personal and guest dives and training activities.
• Serve as a surface dive tender supporting divers in the water and act as first responder during emergencies.
• Assist with additional diving activities including underwater feedings, sign holding, and gating procedures outside routine maintenance and guest programs.
• Deliver engaging, clear, and informative safety briefings, promoting conservation and sharing resort product knowledge.
• Provide guests with concise, positive instructions ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards.
• Strictly follow all departmental and division policies.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment for people and aquatic animals.
• Keep up-to-date with training on first aid, rescue drills, and PADI standards for oneself and guests.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Stay knowledgeable about company facilities and services.
• Maintain confidentiality of all received information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management within the division.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Certification as a renewed PADI Dive Master with DSD leader or higher qualification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Excellent physical health; must pass an annual dive medical exam.
• Demonstrates required swim proficiency by passing the annual departmental swim test.
• Positive attitude combined with strong work ethics.
• Fluent and confident communicator in both written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working closely with all animals in the resort's collection.
• Physically capable of performing diving tasks, including lifting heavy diving and cleaning equipment.
• Exhibits mature and responsible conduct in all assigned duties.
