Role Overview

The role is for a scriptwriter supporting Tamil productions across television and digital channels. You will help develop original ideas, turn research into proposals, and craft scripts for a range of programme formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop fresh content ideas for TV broadcasts and digital-first platforms.
• Carry out research and prepare programme proposals for single dramas, serial dramas, informational-educational shows, and entertainment content for Tamil productions.
• Create scripts across different formats, including dramas, children’s programmes, info-ed, entertainment, interstitials, trailers, and digital story uploads.
• Draft concept materials for pitches and management presentations.
• Write both generic and episode-by-episode story outlines.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Media, Communication, Creative Writing, or a related field.
• Strong command of written communication.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in writing and scripting.
• Genuine interest in television and media work.
• Professional bilingual fluency in English and Tamil is required for business use.
• Must be able to communicate well with colleagues at all levels and with members of the public.
