- Write or assemble breaking news coverage when required.
- Help plan coverage for major upcoming events and guide foreign correspondents on regional assignments.
- Act as a primary contact for correspondents and make sure they are operationally prepared for breaking-news coverage.
- Hold regular conversations with correspondents, escalating bureau issues and training requirements to senior editors.
- Contribute to the organisation’s adoption of new technologies and social media tools.
- Partner with other teams to create content that works across CNA’s platforms.
- Spot and lead editorial initiatives that can be submitted for regional or international media awards.
- Strengthen team capability by sharing feedback and guidance with headquarters editorial staff and foreign correspondents.

- Solid understanding of geopolitical sensitivities and awareness of potential boundaries is necessary.
- Fluent English at native-speaker level and working fluency in Urdu are required.
