Job description

About the Position

The Chair of Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Psychotherapy focuses its research on the fundamentals of neuropsychological functions and disorders, including diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. To bridge research with practical application, a neuropsychological university outpatient clinic has been established as part of the Chair. This clinic aims to foster the development of future professionals in neuropsychological psychotherapy following the Scientist-Practitioner model, with corresponding training programs currently under development.

Role Details

  • Start date: October 1, 2026
  • Part-time role: 20 hours per week
  • Salary: TV-L E13
  • Contract duration: Fixed term for 3.5 years

Responsibilities

  • Teaching approximately 2.5 semester weekly hours, primarily clinical instruction within the Master's program in Psychology focusing on Biological Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Psychotherapy
  • Conducting research aligned with one of the scientific focus areas of the Chair
  • Supporting administrative tasks of the Chair, including collaborative research and networking efforts
  • Participation in translational research projects ranging from experimental basics to developing and validating diagnostic tools and interventions in neuropsychological psychotherapy for patients
  • Collection, evaluation, and documentation of research data

Candidate Profile

  • Scientist motivated by clinical-neuropsychological research and teaching
  • Completed Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy with an apporval corresponding to the latest regulations
  • Specific interest in topics such as 'fatigue,' diagnostics, and group therapies
  • Enthusiastic about research, writing in a constructive environment, and presenting scientific findings
  • Strong interest in postgraduate further training in neuropsychological psychotherapy
  • Empathetic interaction with patients and participants
  • Passion for methodology, statistics, and familiarity with statistical software
  • Team player with a proactive and committed work ethic
