Position Summary

This full-time role is designed for individuals passionate about bridging scientific research with commercial strategy. The successful candidate will analyze markets, translate complex scientific and patent information into actionable business insights, and contribute to investor and customer communications to propel Primogene's innovation pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive market research to uncover new ingredients, technologies, and product ideas.
Build detailed business cases involving market sizing, pricing strategies, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation.
Consistently monitor industry trends to spot new innovation avenues.
Perform thorough scientific and patent literature reviews to identify technological gaps and white spaces for innovation.
Convert intricate scientific data into clear, commercially relevant summaries.
Evaluate emerging technologies and aid in early-stage innovation concept development.
Support ideation, technology scouting, and prioritization of business opportunities.
Collaborate closely with company founders and scientific teams to align innovation strategies.
Assist with outreach activities including customer and partner research, preparation, and communications.
Create persuasive presentations for customers, investors, and internal strategic discussions.
Generate concise briefs and reports to facilitate decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related scientific fields, or proven capability to grasp complex scientific topics.
Strong analytical skills with experience in scientific literature review, patent searches, and market and competitive analysis.
Capability to translate scientific information into clear technical and commercial insights.
Familiarity with biotech, nutritional ingredients, fermentation, enzyme technologies, or comparable industries is preferred.
Experience in business development or innovation strategy is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in crafting effective and well-organized presentation materials.
A proactive, curious, and resourceful mindset with an entrepreneurial approach.
Comfortable taking initiative and excelling in a fast-paced start-up culture.
Strong interest in emerging technologies, innovation, and early-stage ventures.
