Job Overview

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a School Crossing Patrol Officer to manage the safe crossing of school children at Newtownards Model Primary School. The role involves directing traffic, operating warning signs, and identifying potential roadside hazards to ensure child safety.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage children’s behaviour at designated crossing points.
• Follow the Education Authority’s official guidelines for School Crossing Patrols.
• Adhere to all legal and health and safety regulations including the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978 and other relevant legislation.
• Perform duties in usual working conditions associated with this role.
• Complete all required documentation accurately.
• Undertake tasks within the competence of the role and at the same grade level if assigned.
