Role overview

UCC Library is seeking a Scholarly Communications Librarian to join its Research Services Team at University College Cork in the Cork Metropolitan Area. This position offers the chance to support open research initiatives and help ensure that high-quality research outputs are made freely accessible while meeting both funder and university requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the library’s scholarly communications services and related workflows.
  • Support the continued growth and improvement of the Cork Open Research Archive (CORA).
  • Manage UCC’s IReL Open Access agreements and related coordination.
  • Lead the development of UCC Journals, the university’s Diamond Open Access publishing initiative.
  • Work closely with researchers, IT Services, and the Office of the Vice-President for Research & Innovation.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance within the Research Services team.
