About SOCOTEC Environment & Safety
The Environment and Safety team at SOCOTEC offers specialist consultancy and compliance services related to environmental, health, and safety matters. Role Overview
The Scheduler is a critical position within the Environment & Safety team, responsible for coordinating field consultants focused on asbestos surveying and air monitoring. This role demands proactive management to allocate appropriate personnel to suitable assignments efficiently while maintaining communication with all stakeholders. It contributes significantly to operational efficiency, resource utilization, and commercial objectives, all while upholding high service quality and client satisfaction. The Scheduler must understand necessary competencies, operational needs, and financial considerations to make swift, effective decisions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and optimize the scheduling of field consultants involved in asbestos surveys and air monitoring tasks.
- Ensure timely and appropriate deployment of resources to projects, communicating effectively with key parties.
- Maximize efficiency, utilization rates, and commercial performance aligned with business targets.
- Make informed decisions promptly, based on a solid grasp of skills requirements, operational demands, and financial impact.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include GCSEs or equivalent in Mathematics, English, and a science-related subject.
- Demonstrated strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Understanding of commercial business drivers and awareness.
- Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
