Job description
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and periodic inspections of scaffolding installations ensuring adherence to CISRS/NOC regulations and project requirements.
- Uphold offshore Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols, managing permit-to-work systems, confined space entries, and working-at-heights procedures.
- Manage and sustain scaffold identification tagging (green, amber, red) to communicate scaffold conditions and safety status.
- Generate inspection documentation, keep detailed scaffold registers, and issue Non-Conformance Reports when necessary.
- Collaborate with scaffold foremen, supervisors, and multi-disciplinary teams to guarantee secure and compliant access arrangements.
- Validate scaffold load capacities and confirm suitability for designated operational tasks.
- Conduct safety briefings and provide instruction to scaffolders on effective and safe methods for erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding.
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including drills, ensuring scaffold safety during challenging weather or evacuation events.
- Inspect scaffold components, fittings, and construction techniques for compliance with approved standards.
- Advocate for enhancements in scaffold design and safety protocols to improve offshore operational safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Possess a diploma or technical certification in engineering or a related trade field.
- Hold CISRS, TUV, or equivalent scaffolding inspector certification.
- Have between five to seven years of offshore scaffolding experience, specifically including inspection duties.
- Certified in CISRS Level 1 and Level 2 Scaffolding Inspection.
- Completed BOSIET / HUET training certified by OPITO.
- Certified in Basic H2S safety training.
- Trained in Permit-to-Work systems and Rescue at Height procedures.
- Completed Work at Height training.
- Undergone MOSI, IIF, and Heat Stress training under QLENG project programs.
