Scaffolder I

Position Overview

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Scaffolder I to join their team in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This role involves erecting and dismantling scaffolding systems to create safe work platforms, handrails, and temporary structures such as stages and catwalks for maintenance activities within SATORP plants. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and supervisor instructions to determine material requirements and establish ground levels.
• Construct scaffolds by assembling steel pipes, support beams, braces, and clamps to form secure bases.
• Utilize frames or sections to position scaffolding components and bolt pipes together accurately.
• Install planks over beams to form safe working platforms.
• Employ prefabricated scaffolding to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness when available.
• Dismantle scaffolding and conduct cleanup upon job completion.
• Maintain housekeeping standards after task completion.
• Adhere strictly to SATORP's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and rules.
• Understand hazards associated with plant materials and appropriate safety measures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow plank color coding and “USE/NO-USE” tagging systems.
• Participate in scheduled safety and technical training sessions.
• Fulfill Competency Based Training program requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of eight years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with a High School diploma.
• Certification from an accredited third-party or Saudi institute verifying scaffolding qualifications and competency.
• Strong technical knowledge in maintenance management within Oil & Gas facilities.
• Excellent organizational and proactive skills combined with effective communication abilities.
• Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and resolve on-site issues.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
• Willingness and flexibility to reside and work in Saudi Arabia.
