Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant to drive process improvement, business value creation, and large-scale SAP transformation initiatives. The role focuses on translating business needs into practical system solutions, enhancing procurement and supply chain processes, and supporting delivery in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create strategies that help clients improve innovation, growth, and profitability through better business and technology alignment.
  • Review existing business workflows and recommend technology-led improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead workshops to understand business needs, map requirements, and convert them into system and process enhancements.
  • Serve as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams to keep delivery aligned and clear.
  • Guide and mentor team members while helping raise overall delivery quality and maturity.
  • Support effort estimation for releases, audits, and transformation programs.
  • Contribute to automation business cases, including AI chatbot use cases, reduction of manual effort, and audit automation initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on audit, SOX, and compliance-related activities.
  • Manage client conversations confidently and handle team coordination in a structured manner.
  • Bring domain knowledge from one or two industry sectors and apply it to solution design.

SAP MM Expertise Required

  • Configure SAP MM organizational structure, master data, business partner setup, purchasing, pricing, account determination, PR/PO release strategies, and outputs/forms.
  • Handle inventory management, logistics invoice verification, and physical inventory processes.
  • Design and implement special procurement scenarios such as subcontracting, stock transport orders, and consignment.
  • Work with SAP SD and FI integration points to ensure smooth end-to-end process flow.
  • Design interfaces connecting SAP with non-SAP systems.
  • Contribute to SAP functional work across MM, ARIBA, SCM, and Workflow areas.
  • Support S/4HANA upgrade programs, including Greenfield and Brownfield approaches.

Candidate Profile

The ideal professional should have strong logical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. A strong understanding of financial processes tied to projects and pricing models is important, as is familiarity with software configuration management systems and awareness of current technology trends.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree is required. Candidates should bring at least 15 years of relevant experience and have prior experience leading teams of 5 to 7 members.

Work Environment

This is a full-time onsite position based in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, India. The role is intended for professionals who are comfortable working in enterprise procurement and compliance-heavy environments.
