Job description
About the Role
We seek a skilled SAP CAR Consultant with deep knowledge in SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR), including expertise in CAR Planning and Unified Demand Forecast (UDF) solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of retail business processes such as demand forecasting, replenishment planning, inventory optimization, as well as hands-on experience with SAP CAR implementation and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in full lifecycle SAP CAR implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support assignments.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into comprehensive SAP CAR functional solutions.
- Configure and manage core SAP CAR modules such as Point of Sale Data Transfer & Audit (POSDTA), Omnichannel Article Availability (OAA), Demand Data Foundation (DDF), Unified Demand Forecast (UDF), and CAR Planning & Forecasting.
- Design and adjust forecasting models leveraging SAP UDF to support accurate demand and inventory planning.
- Analyze sales data factoring in trends, seasonal variations, and promotional impacts to refine forecasting and replenishment strategies.
- Integrate SAP CAR with various systems, including SAP S/4HANA/ECC, SAP Retail, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP F&R, SAP IBP (preferred), POS systems, and third-party applications.
- Manage master and transactional data integration ensuring data consistency.
- Conduct functional workshops, fit-gap analyses, and solution design sessions in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Document functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams to implement developments.
- Lead system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and support production deployments.
- Deliver post-go-live application support and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with business users, solution architects, and development teams promoting process optimization and system enhancements.
- Facilitate user training and knowledge transfer to empower client teams.
Candidate Profile
Individuals with 4 to 20 years of experience in SAP CAR implementation and support are suitable for this position. The ideal candidate is based in one of the following locations: Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, or Gandhinagar and must possess hands-on knowledge with SAP CAR and UDF solutions.
