About the Role

The Sales Specialist will spearhead efforts to develop strategic partnerships and drive business growth through targeted sales management, marketing initiatives, and resource mobilization. This role involves collaborating with various sectors, including NGOs, corporate entities, government bodies, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and development organizations to foster strong alliances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and actively pursue new partnership possibilities with NGOs, corporations, government agencies, and other key sectors.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with significant stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at networking events to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead and oversee the sales team's activities, ensuring alignment with monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Implement sales strategies across multiple channels including B2B, B2G, NGOs, and retail.
  • Develop sales reports, forecasts, and conduct performance analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional efforts to increase brand awareness.
  • Enhance customer interaction and deepen market penetration through marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitors to inform strategic planning.
  • Support fundraising efforts by identifying grants, sponsorships, and partnership opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, concept notes, and fundraising documentation.
  • Prepare regular reports regarding growth, partnerships, marketing, and sales progress.
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning and business development processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Development Studies, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, marketing, sales coordination, account management, or fundraising.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal composition skills are essential.
  • Experience in nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, manufacturing, healthcare, or impact-oriented entities is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing sales teams or coordinating business development activities is an advantage.
