Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sales Representative with experience in medical device sales to join our RECON team based in New Zealand. This role involves close collaboration with surgeons in operating theatres to promote Zimmer Biomet’s RECON product range, focusing on nurturing existing client relationships and cultivating new business prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow existing business while identifying and converting new sales opportunities by building relationships with key decision makers.
- Function as a vital member of the operating theatre team.
- Provide in-service training sessions and workshops regarding Zimmer Biomet products.
- Stay informed on advancements in surgical techniques, relevant clinical literature, and competitor market activities.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Tertiary education in Business, Marketing, Nursing, Science, or similar fields.
- Proven medical device sales background in orthopaedics, capital equipment, or diagnostics.
- Experience working within operating theatre environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- A passion for health care, human anatomy, and innovation aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to establish rapport with stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent regional travel, approximately 90% of the time.
- Occasional inter-island or international travel as needed.
