About the Role
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers hold the distinction of being Manitoba's premier single-sport attraction, drawing an audience of 32,000 fans per game and managing a corporate partnership portfolio that spans game day activations, digital platforms, and community initiatives throughout the year.
We are looking to expand our team with a Sales & Partnership Activation Coordinator who will play a crucial role in both selling and implementing partnerships. This position acts as a linchpin in the partnership process, guiding deals from initial proposals through to final recaps, supporting the Corporate Sales and Partnership Activation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily administration tasks across the entire sales cycle for Corporate Sales and Partnership departments.
- Help in preparing sponsorship proposals, creating presentations, drafting contracts, and compiling end-of-season recap reports.
- Keep CRM systems and internal databases up-to-date with precise information.
- Manage invoicing, track contracts, oversee ticket fulfillment, and organize renewal timelines.
- Support activities such as lead generation, prospect research, and producing sales reports related to inventory and activities.
- Arrange meetings and facilitate internal communication between various departments.
- Coordinate the execution of sponsorship deliverables across game days, digital media, community events, and stadium activations.
- Ensure all contractual commitments with partners are fulfilled timely and accurately.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, game operations, content, ticketing, and community relations.
- Manage elements such as signage, hospitality, promotions, contests, and in-stadium experiences for partners.
- Organize events, appearances, and community projects involving partners.
- Prepare materials summarizing partnerships post-event and at season end.
- Provide support for partner activations during all Winnipeg Blue Bombers home games, requiring an on-site presence.
- Coordinate hospitality and support partner services throughout game days.
- Ensure sponsor assets and branding are implemented according to specifications, schedules, and branding guidelines.
- Respond promptly and effectively to operational challenges during live events.
- Develop and sustain professional relationships with corporate partners and internal colleagues.
- Contribute positively to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- You are highly detail-oriented and deadline-focused, ensuring no task is overlooked.
- You communicate effectively and professionally, representing the organization with partners confidently.
- You demonstrate initiative by identifying necessary actions independently.
- You thrive in fast-paced, event-driven settings where adaptability is essential and game day commitments are mandatory.
- You are passionate about sports, live events, and creating experiences that engage the community.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Sport Management, Communications, or related disciplines.
- One to three years' experience in areas such as sales administration, sponsorship, marketing, events, or sports business.
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with Archtics or Ticketmaster is advantageous.
- Availability to work on all 10-plus Winnipeg Blue Bombers home games (including playoffs if applicable), select Winnipeg Football Club events, and during regular business hours Monday to Friday. The role requires on-site presence during games.
