In the UK, TOMRA is expanding its presence in preparation for the upcoming UK Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) launching in October 2027, which will transform beverage container recycling nationwide.
Role Overview
This position is for a Sales Manager responsible for the North East England region. The primary objectives include cultivating strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and facilitating TOMRA's recycling solutions rollout in the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new business development throughout the North East region from initial engagement through contract completion.
- Establish and nurture relationships with retailers and stakeholders ahead of DRS adoption.
- Gain deep insight into customer requirements and articulate how TOMRA’s offerings meet those needs.
- Collaborate with teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and compelling value propositions.
- Support trial and pilot initiatives to foster long-term partnerships.
- Organize and oversee your sales pipeline, converting leads into sustainable revenue streams.
- Represent TOMRA at client meetings and industry events locally.
Success Indicators
- Consistently maintain and grow a well-managed sales pipeline within the region.
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships with customers and business collaborators.
- Successfully convert pilot projects into longstanding agreements.
- Contribute significantly to TOMRA’s expansion efforts in Northern England and across the UK.
