Job description

Role summary

This position is focused on growing a portfolio of independent single-outlet restaurants within an assigned city. The role is highly consultative and field-based: you will work as the main point of contact for partner restaurants, understand their business challenges, and support them in improving orders, visibility, and customer engagement. It is a hands-on position that calls for adaptability, strong ownership, and a genuine interest in helping partners succeed.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of a defined local territory and build productive relationships with the restaurant partners assigned to it.
  • Spend most of your time in the field, meeting partners in person, demonstrating products, reviewing ROI, and explaining how the partnership with Swiggy can benefit both sides.
  • Use a consultative approach to uncover needs by asking about current sales channels, delivery operations, marketing spend, and business objectives, then position Swiggy solutions accordingly.
  • Manage the complete monthly partner journey, including pitching, negotiation, activation, and continuing support.
  • Monitor adoption metrics, identify the reasons for slow growth, resolve issues, and make corrective actions where needed.
  • Be accountable for revenue targets in your territory and maintain clear visibility into your pipeline and conversion performance.
  • Work extensively with city and central trackers and be proficient in spreadsheet tools such as Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced usage.
  • Keep track of restaurant trends, competitor activity, and local market changes, and share field insights that can inform product decisions.
  • Handle 80 to 90 face-to-face meetings with restaurant partners every month.

Candidate profile

The role is best suited for someone with 0 to 2 years of experience in B2B sales, field sales, or business development, ideally from FMCG, food and beverage, or hotel-related industries. You should have a history of achieving targets, managing your own sales pipeline, and working with data comfortably. Since restaurant operations run throughout the day, the position requires strong ownership of partner growth. A post-graduate background, preferably in marketing or sales, is desired.

Work style

This is an on-field, consultative sales role that requires regular in-person interaction with partners and a strong ability to operate independently in a dynamic market.
