Job description

About NoPo Nanotechnologies

NoPo Nanotechnologies India Pvt. Ltd., headquartered in Electronics City, Bengaluru, is a pioneering organization in deep-tech nanotechnology specializing in Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNT) created via proprietary HiPCO technology. Established in 2011, NoPo focuses on producing superior nanomaterials utilized in next-generation applications within semiconductors, electronics, electric vehicle batteries, aerospace, defense, healthcare, water purification, and composites. The company emphasizes innovation and sustainability, collaborating globally to develop cutting-edge materials that contribute to lighter, stronger, and more energy-efficient products while fostering a supportive culture for professional growth.

Position Overview

NoPo is introducing a new product line of conductive additives designed for electrostatic discharge (ESD) applications in elastomers and plastics. The SWCNT additive, at a concentration as low as 0.1 wt%, achieves electrical resistance levels of 10^9 to 10^11 Ohm/square, offering an excellent alternative to traditional carbon black in use cases such as transparent films, conductive packaging, coatings, molded components, and elastomers.

The Sales Head will spearhead global commercial initiatives, focusing on the expansion and revenue growth of this SWCNT-based permanent anti-static and ESD concentrate product line. The role involves technical sales, strategic market development, and fostering relationships primarily within polymer compounding, paint, epoxy, and masterbatch sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement sales strategies targeting diverse industry segments for SWCNT-based ESD concentrate products.
  • Identify and access new market niches across polymers, paints, epoxies, and masterbatch manufacturing.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline with qualified prospects and convert these into business growth.
  • Deliver technical presentations, engage with R&D and procurement teams, and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with customer technical experts to address specific ESD requirements and optimize formulations.
  • Support and guide customer product trials and validation efforts.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive conditions, and identify emerging applications for conductive additives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars to promote products and gather market intelligence.
  • Manage key customer relationships to enhance satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams including R&D, technical services, and supply chain functions.
  • Provide timely sales forecasts, market feedback, and competitive analysis to senior management.
  • Develop and mentor junior sales personnel and application specialists to build team capability.
  • Establish and grow distributor networks aligned with market demand.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related disciplines. Eligibility includes B.Tech or B.E. in Materials Science and Engineering, Biochemistry/Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
  • 8 to 12 years of proven experience in B2B technical sales within specialty chemicals, additives, or advanced materials sectors.
  • Strong background in polymer, paint, coatings, or composite materials industries with a history of selling conductive additives or ESD solutions preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of polymer science, formulation chemistry, processing technologies, and static dissipative standards/testing.
  • Familiarity with masterbatch production processes and polymer compounding techniques.
  • Effective at handling long sales cycles requiring technical evaluations and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
  • Proven negotiation skills and capability to design value-based pricing models.
  • Existing networks or relationships within plastics, epoxy, or elastomer sectors in India or globally considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and disciplined sales process management.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communication skills tailored to technical and commercial audiences.
  • Strong consultative selling and problem-solving competency.
  • Highly motivated, capable of independent work and efficient account/territory management.
