Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site sales position in the Kolkata metropolitan area for the telecom sector. The selected professional will work closely with channel partners and retail customers to present and sell the company’s software offerings, make sure customer requirements are properly understood, and help move opportunities through the sales cycle to successful closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new leads and build a healthy sales pipeline.
- Deliver product walkthroughs, presentations, and demonstrations to prospects and partners.
- Follow up on incoming inquiries and convert opportunities into sales.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and revenue targets.
- Maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and service support.
- Provide assistance after the sale and respond to customer needs promptly.
- Collect market insights and share customer feedback to support product improvements.
- Help conduct training sessions for partners and internal team members when required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.
- Hands-on experience in sales and sales management.
- Ability to support training and product education sessions.
- Working knowledge of the telecom sector and familiarity with SaaS or software-based solutions.
- Comfort using computers, CRM systems, and basic reporting tools.
- Background in business development or field sales, ideally in telecom or a related industry.
- Capacity to work independently, stay self-driven, and travel across Kolkata metropolitan area and nearby locations.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related discipline, or have equivalent practical experience in the field.
Additional Information
The role is based in Kolkata metropolitan area, West Bengal, India, and requires regular on-site presence. Travel within the city region and surrounding areas may be needed as part of the job.
